the making of a poem

10 week course at RISC

Tuesday 13th April 2-4pm

Where does a poem begin?

How do we get to the heart of the poem and where does it begin or end? Week by week we will continue to look at a wide selection of work from contemporary poets and use it to help us write poems of our own. In addition we will consider the poet's toolbox: form, metre, rhyme and free verse and we will look at some editing techniques to improve our writing.
